Film, TV, & Education
Film
One of my latest projects, Cat Sitter, has been featured in the Buried Alive Film Festival, the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival, the Newnan Film Festival, the Atlanta Underground Film Festival, Fiction Fest, the Peaberry Film Festival, and the RoleCall Indie Showcase, all in 2024. I co-wrote, co-produced, co-directed, filmed, acted in, edited, and scored this short film about a young woman tasked with cat sitting an old woman’s cats.
Television
In my role as a robotic camera and replay operator for the E.W. Scripps Company, I collaborate with the technical director, producers, and other control-room staff in order to execute live Court TV and Scripps Sports programming according to any given rundown in iNews. In addition to utilizing the Ross Cambots in SmartShell, I also use the Evertz DreamCatcher in a sort of EVS-style manner to capture replay moments for both court and any important moments in the NHL or NWSL games. Additionally, I have been cross trained using XPression for graphics and using the Wheatstone audio console to mix audio for live programming.
Education
As the sole Audio/Video Technology and Film teacher at Riverwood, I developed and executed curricula for three levels of film and TV production classes, grades nine through twelve. We not only launched a weekly, student-run, news show, but also recorded football games and theater productions using multi-cam technology as well as produced countless short films. During my tenure at Riverwood, I taught in person, hybrid, and remotely using Microsoft Teams, proudly preparing my students for the Adobe Premiere Associate certificate exam.
As a film production instructor with the Film and Digital Media Center at Clayton State University, I was responsible for developing and implementing curricula for two levels of post production as well as collaborating with another instructor to teach a film production workshop course. I not only supervised and assisted with multiple short films from preproduction to distribution, but also helped students build a professional network and enter into employment in the film and television industries. During my tenure at Clayton State, I taught both in person and remotely using Microsoft Teams.
